I recently visited family in Texas where I got to spend a lot of time with my parents that, unfortunately, I only get to see about once a year (hopefully that will change to at least twice a year).
It was very relaxing and, suprizingly, quite cold for Texas in May.
We drove to Dallas to see my oldest daughter and little sister and her family for the weekend where we shopped and saw a great band at Sambuca's in "The Shops at Legacy" in Plano TX (my old stomping ground).
Then drove back to South Texas in the (much needed) rain and spent a few more cold days enjoying the time with my parents; just visiting and watching movies.
Down a dirt road, not far from my parent's house, is an old bridge that I remembr driving over with my grandfather on our way to his favorite fishing hole. The bridge is no longer "drivable", but it still brings back lots of memories. My dad said it was the place he kissed my mother for the first time. I bet this bridge has seen a lot of first kisses ;-)
Here is a picture I snapped (actually a 3 exposure HDR) with my dad sneaking a quick cast to see if there were any fish biting in the creek.
